The CVAD Fabrication Lab is located on the 3rd floor in the east wing of the Art Building, Room 366. It is an open resource for undergrad and graduate students to utilize the latest digital and textile fabrication tools in the production of their work. Anyone who wishes to use the lab must first present a valid UNT ID to be admitted access. It is paid for and maintained using a portion of the CVAD student fees. Because of this, all students currently enrolled in CVAD courses have access to the lab without any additional costs. Keep in mind that this is a space to make art, it is not a manufacturing facility for business or commercial ventures.
The CVAD Photo Documentation Service is located on the 3rd floor in the west wing of the Art Building, Room 316. For the Photo Documentation Service, we will photograph and document artwork at no cost. This service is open to CVAD students, faculty, and staff. Part of the function of the service is to create a database of student work that the university can pull from when creating promotional materials. Because of this, you will be required to sign a release in order to have your work photographed.
