Special Announcements and Alerts

This page provides important updates from the college, campus, and system regarding information security and compliance issues that affect the campus and personal computing.

McAfee Antivirus

The agreement with McAfee that allows us to provide antivirus software to home users (faculty, staff and students) is not being renewed. Beginning on December 16th, 2022: updates will no longer be available for those who have installed the software on their personal computers. While the university has moved to Crowdstrike for on-campus computing, home use is not included in the agreement. You will need to find a new solution for antivirus protection on your home computer.
