Reservations Current CVAD students, faculty, and staff may utilize the following reservation portals. CVAD Room and Resource Reservations CVAD has switched to a new reservation system for booking rooms and resources. It is called Booked Scheduler, and it is being used to reserve all physically accessible spaces within CVAD. This includes the CVAD Student Computer Lab stations, all equipment in the CVAD Fabrication Labs, the Classroom-on-Wheels (laptop carts), critique spaces, and conference rooms (when available). CVAD Fabrication Labs Now Open Currently enrolled CVAD students: The CVAD Fabrication Labs are now open for reservations! Reservations can be made through the CVAD reservation system by logging in with your EUID and password. Safety First: Before making a reservation, students must complete safety training. Mac Freezes UPDATE 7-7-2020 We are continuing to work with UNT Information Security and McAfee to resolve the issue with the antivirus software locking up our Mac computers. We apologize for the inconvenience and understand how difficult is to work under these conditions. We have been running a variety of tests, letting the computers run overnight, to diagnose the issues. We hope to be able to report a fix by tomorrow. CVAD Student Computer Lab Reopens July 6, 2020 The CVAD Student Computer Lab will reopen beginning July 6, 2020, at 8 a.m. by appointment only. To safeguard the health and safety of our students we have reduced the capacity of the CVAD SCL to allow for proper social distancing, at least six feet between each computer station. To save students from making unnecessary trips to campus, or to keep them from congregating while waiting for an available station, all students must make a reservation until further notice. Zoom 5.0 - Mandatory Update Zoom is requiring that everyone upgrade to Zoom 5.0 in order to connect to the service. Mac users: Just go into Self Service and reinstall the app. Windows users: The app should be updated in the Software Center for Windows. If you have any trouble - please come by the CVAD Online Service Desk. For more information on the updated client, visit the Zoom website. The updated client offers increased security features.

Remote Access Computer Resources Now Available CVAD IT Services at the University of North Texas now offers remote online access to Art Building computers in the Student Computer Lab, Room 375, and the Computer Classroom, Room 233. We will be adding more computer classrooms as they become available. All of the software titles on these computers are available through our Remote Access Computer Resources. Emergency VPN Maintenance 3/25/20 March 25, 2020: Tonight at 10:00 pm, UNT System IT Shared Services will need a 30-minute window for VPN maintenance. The purpose of the maintenance is to add additional networks to increase VPN capacity for UNT. This maintenance will not affect UNT Dallas or HSC VPN users. No outage is expected to occur, but if it does, it will present itself as the VPN is reconnecting. Thank you! UNT System IT Shared Services
